Welcome to A Wealth of Nations. As is the case with my other two publications on Substack, I aim to provide readers of this blog with insights and ideas that they can’t easily find elsewhere.
A Wealth of Nations will start slowly. Indeed, I may not publish more than one piece a month for the next year or so. Thus, for the time being, I will neither solicit nor accept paid subscriptions.
The slow pace of publication reflects my desire to build a supply of half-written pieces, a “starter batch” of material that will allow me to build up a head of steam. (How’s that for a mixed metaphor?)
Once A Wealth of Nations is up and running, you will find many short pieces on subjects related to nations, nationalisms, and international relations, as well as constitutional arrangements and the art of providing for the long term well-being of peoples, places, and polities.
